Hi there,
I was excited to see Sense 3.0.
I wanted to give it a try right away, so I downloaded and installed it.
I Updated my prior version, but it is not starting. I also tried to completly uninstall and reinstalled it, but no luck either.
I am running Windows 10.
Anybody experiencing the same Problem? Event log shows me an Error 300..
Sad it does not work,
Fabian
Hi,
Got same issue. QS Desktop didn't start, seems to be link to admin rights.
In fact, Qlik Sense Service Dispatcher is started. Kill the process in the task manager.
When done, go to windows menu / Qlik Sense / Qlik sense desktop (not the one shortcut installed during setup) or go
to C:\Users\[yourUserName]\AppData\Local\Programs\Qlik\Sense\QlikSenseBrowser
and right-click "Run as an administrator".
Then it starts
Hope this helps,
Michael
Hi Fabian,
I have had the same issue, apparently it may be to do with having a space in the user name.
I have uninstalled it and gone back to version 2.4
Hi ,
downloaded and installed on windows 7 machine and works great.
Need to check the comparability with windows 10?
Thanks
We are all having similar issues, and is right now awaiting for an official feedback. Right now I am also running on Windows 10 with upgrade track and it fails to start. But if I install a clean windows 10 and then install Sense 3.0 it works fine. So maybe something is conflicting with it. As of now, I am assuming it is the ODBC and REST connectors that I have installed, since these package comes standard with Sense 3.0 now.
Got the suggestion from another post, apparently it is because of the blank space in the username. Created another user without blank and it works fine!!!!
Make sure your document directory is in this format "c:\users\sampleuser\" and not in "c:\users\sample user" won't work with a space in the middle of the user name...
if you want to create a user without going through the hassle of creating microsoft account, you can press winkey-r and run the command "control userpasswords2" and create a local user without space that way~~ Good Luck!!
If it were true, the only thing I can do is waiting until Qlik release a updated version of installation file.
Because the user name of my computer is coming from AD. I can not change it myself.
Hi Henry, thanks for your suggestion, but i don't have a space in my user name....
So appearantly this can't be my problem...
Thanks anyway,
Fabian
