Hi All,
I want to ask, is Qlik Sense 3.1 need internet connection to open add data menu?
Here's my screenshot when i'm not connected to internet.
After connect to internet then data source pop up.
Is that happened only to me?
Regards,
Marco
Hi Marco
This has been recognised as a bug in R&D and fixed to be released in a future SR. For now you can try deleting the DataMarket connector from "C:\Program Files\Common Files\Qlik\Custom Data " which should stop the external calls
thanks
Ian

Hi Michael,
Thanks for your reply.
I will wait news from you.
Thanks
Marco
Hello Marco,
Yes - I just tested this, there does need to be a live connection to the internet, as it attempts to go to our hosted data service Qlik DataMarket. I enabled a sniffer and I was able to see that a connection is being made to: https://datamarket-api.qlik.com/api/v5/inventory.json - this returns JSON (data) back to the product to process additional information for Qlik DataMarket connectivity.
You may need to also have your organization add this location as an approved / trusted site in case it may be blocked by some sort of firewall / security etc.

I was looking for this location and it was not there.
On my machine (Windows 10) I found it here:
C:\Users\<USERNAME>\AppData\Local\Programs\Common Files\Qlik\Custom Data
Rename or delete the QvDataMarket directory that you find here.
Hi Ian,
Thanks for your info!
