Hi guys,
Can anyone help? I'm trying to install Qlik Sense and at the end of the installation it gives me an error.
I'm attaching the error and the logs.
Thanks
Daniel
Daniel,
Try the workaround by Björn Wedbratt in this thread Re: Installation problem (always rolls back)
As Clint said, it is not a solution, but might work and allow you to play with the product.

Hi,
A couple of things to check.
1. Windows 7 or 8/8.1 64bit client
2. 64 bit Operating System
I see in the log files mention of an H:\ and no access to H:\. Qlik Sense Desktop has a hard coded location for QVF (Qlik Sense applications). They need to be in your local documents folder and this needs to be on C:\.
Are you using roaming profiles? Or has your local documents folder been moved to a network location?
Clint
Hi Daniel,
1st from the log Condition 'VersionNT64 >= v6.1' evaluates to true, I understand your system is a 64bit system.
2nd seems the problem start after "In update progress:100" when trying to execute package DemoApps, msi:
Error 0x80070643: Failed to install MSI package.
Error 0x80070643: Failed to configure per-user MSI package.
Checked in your DemoApps.log the error message:

So as Clint mentioned from above, please check your profile settings. Hope this helps. Cheers!

Wallace
Hi Daniel,
1. Make sure that you have not installed beta version of this, if that is then firstly uninstall this.
2. for Qlik Sense you need windows 7 OS and higher version that windows 7.
3. Installation is not allowed on 32bit so please install it on 64bit OS
4. Any server system is not supported for Qlik Sense, i.e. Windows server OS.

Would agree with Wallace, looks like an issue with the path to your Profile where all the Files should be installed. Have a look into this thread with same issue
Hi guys,
I thought it could be that.
Our "My documents" folder here is mapped to the H: drive which is a shared drive in the network.
Is there any way to overcome this? I'm not sure if we are allowed to change our profile drives in the company.
I'm using Windows 7 64bit.
Thanks
Hi Daniel,
No, unfortunately not at this stage. However, I have suggested this to our product team.

Clint

Thanks mate.
That did work.
Glad it worked.
Note that you will need to store all your apps in the C: drive. Make sure it works.
