Hi Experts,

I am involved in the Qlik Sense Server Migration activity. Moving Qlik Sense server from the old server to the new server. The Domain and Server Name are different in old and new server.

Do I need to export certificates from Old Server and import the same to New Server?

Also, anyone can brief me on the steps involved in migration activity?

Hi @Purushothaman

If you are talking about 3rd party certificates, then no use exporting those since the domain is different.

For Qlik certificates, since it has data connection passwords you can export them. If you don't have too many data connections then you can go with new certificates as well.

Note: Please make sure that you have a proper backup before migrating. Our support team can assist if something goes wrong but it's highly advised to have all backups if something goes wrong to be able to revert back.

Hi Vinay,

Thank you for your reply, I was referring to this article previously, I was not clear on Export and Import Certificates.

My Question is : Do I need to Export certificates from Old Server and Import the same in new server, even there is difference in Hostname and Domain name among old and new servers?

Please help me to address the above query?
