Hello,
I have a quite complex script I'm running on QlikSense and I noticed that it takes longer to reload (almost three times more) than in QlikView, I'm reloading both on the same machine.
In QlikView I don't generate a log file since it is a long script It took a long time to save the file. I tried to find a way to disable the option to generate the log file in QlikSense but I couldn't find any, is this even possible?
Thank you in advance
I have this issue following a network upgrade to Windows 8, though I'm using 11.2 SR3. I don't think it's QV related and have my suspicions around Previous Versions being switched on when it wasn't enabled in the previous OS. I'd be interested to know if your network has this facility enabled.
Unfortunately I cannot get my IT to disable it so I have written a macro for when I am testing, which turns off the log file, refreshes the app then turns it back on before I publish apps to the server.
The load timings for me were about 10x times higher when logging enabled!! Luckily the policy doesn't extend to my servers, yet!!
flipside
Thank you Flipside, the problem with the log file was the network indeed.
I'm still trying to find a solution/explanation for the slower reload in QlikSense.
I use a lot of where exists, I'll be following that thread
Thank you!
I think this issue was solved a long time in version 2.0
