Qlik Sense - Using the KPI Object - YouTube
In this video, at clock 4.20 when selections are made on country the sales figure counts up and down rather than just switching to the new value. How do I enable this feature in my Qlik Sense dashboard?
Hi Divya,
I've tried this before. There is no parameter we can set to control this. It depends on the time the calculation takes. For example, I had 2 KPIs one to perform a avg(sales) on a 15 million row dataset, and another to just sum(sales).
Whenever I made some selections on associated fields, the avg-KPI would count-up and down but the sum would not - My guess is since Avg is a more intensive operation than sales. I had verified this by doing a Sum(Sales)/Count(record_id) to get to the Avg and this 3rd KPI again counted up and down.
Hope this helps.
You have write the value based conditional colors and icons in the KPI object properties to achieve this
Hi Lakshmikandh,
Its not the color or drop/hike(triangle) icons I'm talking about, but the way the figures are changing is what I am interested in.
You can see that the figures are counting rather than directly jumping to the value, how can I achieve that?
Thank you for your response

Hi Karthik,
Yes, it makes sense now. But would have been nice if we could enable an option to do that.
Looks good though.
Thank you.
