QlikSense column based read access

Good Day

I didn't find any technical documentation about the fact that QlikSense is column based in read access. A script is accessing a qvd but it takes to long. I heard that you can change from column based to row based read access.

Where can you do this?

Many thanks, tom

Hello,

I am not sure that what you are referring to is possible and maybe what you heard could be a different use case scenario. The only official documentation to help you improve your app performance is "Optimizing app performance" [1] and you can find helpful information by using the monitoring apps, which will give you details regarding tasks such us "server memory and CPU usage, active users, and reload task activity". For example, In case you see that reload sessions are taking a long time and consume a lot of resources during the process, you can try increasing those resources etc. There is also a section called "Large data volumes", which shared best practice advice on how to load large data volumes.

I hope that this information is helpful, however it seems that it is the only official documentation with best practices that can help you speedup the reload and overall performance.
