Found an alert tool (Qlik Connectors (SMTP)) which will send an email if a load script fails. I followed the instructions to the letter found in this document 'setting up qlik sense to send email on task failure.docx'. One of the last steps is to create a web file connector to "http://localhost:5555/" and name it. I did as I indicate in the screenshot below:
I get the error above. The strange thing is I created the connection successfully, but I spelled the Name wrong so to do it correctly I deleted the connection and cannot get it to connect again, so it worked once.
I have done the simple fixes rebooted the server stopping and restarting the Qlik Connector Service account (I did follow the directions and installed the Qlik Connector as a service. Doesn't matter what I name it the connection fails.
I grabbed a web page : "https://state.1keydata.com/" and created a web file and it created it straight away.
So it has something to do with the http://localhost:5555/ to trigger the alert and send the email.
I am way over my head on this one any help would be appreciated.
The web connector may prefer HTTPS sources?
