Sankey chart and null values behaviour

I hope you can help me with an Issue I have with the sankey chart and null values.

As you can see below I have my data segmented in different levels from 1-5 (name-name4). Not all entries have values in all fields.

I don't understand how the sankey chart behaves. I would expect that when there is no data in columns (null values) beyond a certain point that the "flow" would simple stop at the level with the latest entry.

However the "flow" continues in with the null values. See marked with yellow.

And this leads me to another problem. If I use the function to not show null values in the chart, for some reason, Qlik removes the entire row with any null value present and not just the specific columns. See below. This is how the chart looks if I check don't show nulls.

Any help is appreciated
