Sharing work in Qlik Sense server

I'm wondering how I can share an App I have created, but now wish to share with a colleague for further development by them.

If I publish to 'everyone' or 'development' or 'admin', the App requires me/them to duplicate pages for any editing to be done.  I just want them to have full editing access to the App, either under 'My work' (for them) or 'development' stream.

Note we both have the full set of admin rules applied for our users??

thanks

Hi Gus Feltham,

I have also faced same kind of scenario and their is a work around possible. U need to Create Duplicate App which you have published it will come in your My work Stream but not you only can edit app No other users. if there is possibility that other user also can see app than i really want to know this.

Note after making change in app you need to publish it again and replace your existing app.

thanks

Thanks Abhay,

I have since found out you simply go into Apps in the QMC and edit the App – and overtype the owner section with the new person.

That will remove the App from my ‘workspace’ – but I can easily create a duplicate App to avoid that.

cheers

Gus

I saw in the Qlik Sense 2.0 release preview notes that you'll be able to duplicate apps (way better than the current physical copy and distribution of the .qvf).

Yes, I had previously managed to duplicate fine as it is a menu option under “more actions” under Apps in QMC, what was less obvious (to me anyway) is that you can edit an App by directly typing over the “owner” with someone new – seems obvious now!!
