Should I disable the data load task before editing a script?

Hi,

I have a data load task configured in QMC for a certain dashboard. It runs every 15 minutes.

If I have to edit the data load script for this dashboard, should I disable this task first, or can I do changes while it's running?

When you edit it you would be doing that in your working copy.   So it would not affect the task.

After you have tested then you can publish. 

I know that publishing an app while users are in it doesn't impact the users.  Not 100% sure about tasks.  But it certainly would not hurt disabling the task while you publish and then turning it back on.  Better safe than sorry I guess.

I agree with Mark.  Do whatever in your working copy.It will not affect the task.

One thing to notice: I haven't published the app yet. That's why I think it's probably best to stop any scheduled task, do the changes to the script and only then proceed to do a load.

I guess I should only enable the scheduled task when I'm not expecting changes in the load script.
