In person conferences are as valuable as the effort you put in. If you attend good content and pay attention, you leave better off. If you network and expand your network, you are better off. So with that - I’ve been to 2 of them in the last 5 years, I’d say they were fair to marginally valuable.

I have no idea how remote conferences will work - my guess is just a lot of online training and a recorded keynote. Maybe more valuable from a pick and choose content, with no restriction on filled rooms maybe? The loss of growing your network is going to take away though.
