Total function Auto () and Sum () returning different values

Hi There

I am trying to understand Total Function available in the straight table.

I am using these functions for one of the app and when Total Function 'Auto()' is used it shows different value than 'Sum()'

Thanks for your help,

Check here for TOTAL qualifier within Sum or Avg or Min....

What does the TOTAL qualifier do?

Auto function? Have never heard of this before... do you mean RowNo() or Above() function?

Can you post an example of your difference?

Auto means calculate the total by evaluating the expression over all data.  Sum means to sum up the rows in the chart. There can be differences depending on your data model and dimensions used.  For example, Auto will never double count. Sum can double count when for example the same fact is connected to more than one dimension in the chart.

I couldn't speculate on the details of your difference without seeing the data model and the expression.
