Transfer data (files and app) qlik sense enterprise

Good evening!

I have been set up with an account with Qlik sense enterprise and I would like to transfer l the data (files), the current mappings and the apps from one machine laptop to another machine my laptop as to be able to edit in the data script editor the mappings and add new data and further build other apps on top of the existing apps while using the existing ones as well. Could you please advise : 1. what rights should I have to be able to do that 2. What are the necessary steps to do that and 3. If In would need Qlik Sense Desktop and if yes how can I get a licence after downloading the qlik sense desktop app? Many thanks in advance! Eugen

Hi Eugen,
Why do you need to transfer the data? Why not have all data on your fileserver?

Because if you move the data, you also need to change the data connections.

About the access rights, you need rights to the fileserver.

You don't need Qlik Sense Desktop unless you just want to do some local work.

Thanks for your reply.

Currently the data sits on other machine laptop, the person having the laptop has the current (last year files, very complex files) and all the connections /mappings/feeds made as the dashboards in the server to work.

In my case with my laptop I have the possibility to view the respective dashboards in the server (Qlik Sense Entreprise).

However, I need to have the old files (from the other laptop), to have the mappings on my laptop as I need to generate other (new) files to re-do the connections to ensure the feeds/mappings are working as to update the dashboards, hence with the current set up I can only view the dashboards and I can not intervene/update those dashboards.

Based on the above I think I need as well Qlik Desktop to achieve this.

If I was not explicit in the above question, please let me know , and I will try to reformulate.
