The customer would like us to display some status change dashboards. Most of the tables have been associated but there is one association that is missing. This table has a column that needs to be associated with another table that is already included in our data model. The issue is that this column is part of a concatenated key in which we only need a portion. We only need the ID at the end of this concatenated string to link to the table that is currently in our data model . I have written a function module that grabs the column and splits it but how can we test this?
Is there another way we can do manipulation on the column string without consuming function modules? If there is not can we use the SAP BAPI connector or some other tool to consume/test the function module. If so how retrieving the output work in this situation?
