Trigger Qliksense task based on external event like Control M

I wanted to trigger qliksense task based on completion of data load from ETL tool (Control M).

I searched on community and found it can be done with EDX.

Can someone tell me how to achieve it step by step in qlik sense

I cannot find task trigger option as " External Event" in QlikSense Nov 2020 version which we have in QlikView.

Is it available in another version of QlikSense?

First, let me suggest you to upgrade your Qlik Sense version ASAP, for both features and stability improvements.

Second, the articles above are still valid. There are similarities with the EDX mechanism in QlikView as in you can use API calls to run external programs and vice versa, using Qlik Sense API calls to trigger actions on the Qlik Sense environment (in this case, reloads).
