Unable to to Open the Qlik Sense Desktop App at all.

Dear Qlik enthusiasts,

I have installed Qlik Sense Desktop to the D:/ of my Laptop and I followed every step correctly like:

- Created the trial folder under the Qlik>Sense folder and pasted the Unlock file.

But, the App still gets stuck at the Authentication Link window and shows me only a Back button.

I've tried installing different versions of the Application since last 2 days.

I've attached the screenshots for reference.

Please help me access the Qlik Sense Application somehow.

Hi Rohan,

I finally fixed this problem by installing the Application in the C: Drive. So, I guess the Custom installation option is dicey and not recommended for use. Is this a bug that needs a fix? If not, why show the Custom Installation option in the Setup UI?

Thanks for your support and suggestion.

Hi @Sreejith171277 ,

You don't need to add the client authentication link in the desktop, You will get it from your Qlik Hub & paste it in a Browser & then it will redirect & open the desktop app. Try this once.

Also, please check if where the trail folder is to be made, in my case i had to make it at the following location :

Hi Rohan,

I chose a custom installation to a different drive. It Qlik automatically installed itself in the new location. I don't know why it didn't create the Documents folder by itself.

Also, I don't know what this meant : You don't need to add the client authentication link in the desktop, You will get it from your Qlik Hub & paste it in a Browser & then it will redirect & open the desktop app. Try this once.

While my Hub link is: http://localhost:4848/hub/my/work, when I paste this in the Chrome browser, it gives me a Page cannot be displayed error message.

I'm clueless on what's happening.
