Upgrade of Qlik Sense from Nov 2018 to April 2019

Hi,

Could you please let us know the process to upgrade Qlik Sense November 2018 to April 2019. Please let us know important steps to take care, do's and don'ts, pre-steps, post-steps, expected bugs if any, unexpected deletion of files during the upgrade so that we can complete the upgrade successfully without major issues.

There are many you need to talk about. I may highlight few of thing majorly

Backup Qlik sense site

1) Create Backup folder

2) Backup Certificates from cluster which is qlik related

3) Backup Security rules

4) Backup repository DB (Ex: Postgre sql, SQL etc.)

5) Backup shared Persistence file share (Ex: Log files, Apps, Statics)

Upgrade Qlik sense

I) Automation Tool

1) Automation process (Power shell, If any - Qlik-Cli)

2) You can configure if there is any automation tool

3) Create batch file

4) Execute Batch run

5) Check, If everything successful

II) Manual Process

1) Download software 

2) UN-install software and install software

3) Import them all together (Security Rules etc.)

Note: Finally, PFA for release notes. Everything will be there.
