VizLib Calendar and Default Dates

Hey Everyone,

I am currently using VizLib's calendar and its a little buggy at points, but overall the best option for my project. I need to set it so that my Date = max(date) if the date has not been selected or isNull. Under interactivity I see a default date, but when I put any field in that default date spot, it flickers the calendar for a bit and then crashes. Is there any other way to set a default date for my date field is there is not one selected?

maybe under settings->Placeholder text ?

Tried that, but then it just puts the max date as the placeholder and doesn't adjust the tables for the max date. Thank you for the fast response though!
