Hi everyone!

Does anyone know how to change the color in a HEAT MAP according to these criteria:

• If the day had no accidents, it should be green
• If the day had minor accidents, it should be yellow
• If the day had major accidents, it should be red

 As measure, I used the function count according to the accident type

In the official documentation page "Heatmap chart" [1], it is stated that "As of February 2022, the Heatmap extension will no longer be supported. Apps that use the Heatmap extension at that time will continue to function. However, the extension will no longer be available in the Assets panel". 

This means that if you are using the native Heatmap extension found natively in Qlik Sense under "Custom objects > Visualization bundle > Heatmap chart", then you are using an older version of Qlik Sense and you should keep in mind that if you update later your Qlik Sense to a newer version, you will not be able to create new Heatmap charts, but also it will be hard for you to get support for the chart in case you have any issues. Checking the native Heatmap chart's configurations (in older Qlik Sense), we can see the following options:

As you can see, none of the configurations allows you to specify colors based on expression, which would be the only way to set specific colors based on what type of accident you are presenting. The only available options are to choose in variety of color schemas that are applied based on the amount return by the Count() function that you have used in your Measures.

Another option would be to use a custom Heatmap that was created by another developer. One example could be:  "Qlik Sense 2 Dimensional Heatmap" [2]. This also means that if the developer updates the extension often, then it will also be supported in newer versions of Qlik Sense. However, please keep in mind that in this case, you might have to reach to the developer himself, if you experience any issues with the extension or in case you have similar questions as to how implement specific use case scenario. Since the developer would know immediately where a specific scenario is supported by his extension or not.
