manually Link tables and/or designate key fields

I created the correct associations between by tables, but when I look at the data model view, there are no lines between the tables.  Can I manually link the tables?  OR manually designate key fields in the tables?  Also, is it possible to attach a spreadsheet to this post?  I can show the spreadsheet that I loaded that contains 5 sheets; each sheet as a table.

You surely imported the files with the wizzard; with that, you have to make the associations (by putting the bubble above each others..)

If you load the files with the script; all will be diretly linked by column name:

Qlik associates tables by column name, if you want to associate 2 tables (a column in each table); give the 2 columns the same name;

Thank you for your reply, the fields on which I want to join have the same name.  I don't have a "join" choice, only "Mention" and "!App"

You have to click on the advanced editor, up right;

Celia,

Can you attach an image with your data model?  You probably did not all necessary transformation steps to update your fields to be "linked"....

And yes, you can attach the excel file here as well .

Vlad

Another thing, have you imported your data through load editor (wizard) or script?

Ok, I've attached the excel file; it should be clear what the links should be; the main table is sheet "Individual".  I appreciate all your suggestions.  I hope someone can help.

I loaded the data using "Add Data".

Omar, Thank you so much for the qvf file !  How nice of you   This helps me alot as I knew I'd have to learn how to use the Load Editor.
