Hi,
Suggest which version to upgraded to if using QlikSense June 2017
Hi @Samuel88
We would recommend upgrading to the latest version i.e. August 2022 or the previous version May 2022. We haven't seen any stability issues or customer reports on issues. Even if you encounter any issues, they would get addressed faster in the latest versions.
Here are the upgradation guide for your reference:

Hi,
The recommendation you mentioned seems is a in-place upgrade in the same server. However, we need to migrate to another new server with different hostname. What is better approach to do so.
And since after version Nov 2020, the .net version required is over 4.5.2. Some suggest to upgrade to version Nov 2020 first as this version still use .net 4.5.2, this can minimize the upgrade error.
My concern are below
1. Current version we used is June 2017, what intermediate version should be upgraded first before upgrade to final target version, this can minimize the error.
2. Any official guideline related to how to migrate to different server? I found that the documentation mentioned in Qlik Sense Support Site is only related to in-place upgrade on the same host.
3. If migrate to different server, is the license key required to change or use the previous same one?
Hi @Samuel88
if I remember correctly, the only version that had some certificates issues when migrating to, was June 2017. So, if you are already in that version you should be fine.
just remember to follow the backup process and also to have always a server snapshot is a good idea.
also, when migrate, both severs has to be in same version. So you can first upgrade and then migrate or first migrate and then upgrade, but never migrate from->to different versions.
now some guides:
hope you find it usefull
