I converted a qvw file 130M to qvf by dragging and dropping to sense, then realized the new qvf file was only half size of qvw.
So far, did not see anything missed from the conversion.
My qvw file was created on 32 bit version of windows 8.1, qvf is running 64 bit windows 8.1,
Probably it was the reason. Just want to confirm that is normal? Thanks.
Qlik Sense uses a new data format with better compression. So qvf files could well be smaller than equivalent qvw files. But you also have to consider that converting a qvw file to a qvf file only converts the script and the data. Your qvf file will not have any of the sheet objects of the qvw file, nor any of the variables, expressions, triggers, actions, macros and so on.

Nice to hear back from you again. Much appreciated.
