show all rows in the pivot table regardless null values

Hi experts!

i have an external contact table , an internal contact table and a table about their meeting time .

external contact table has a contactID linked to meeting table

internal contact table has a employeeid linked to meeting table, and i tagged some employees with leader and i only want to show them below.

not all contactids are in the meeting table, not all employees are showing in the meeting table either.

if i do not check the include null values, it will show like this below, if i check it will not show external contact 3.

i want to show external contact 3 and also not want to see the null value at the last column.

how do i do that?

thanks for your help

  internal contact1 internal contact2 internal contact3 internal contact4 -
external contact 1 june-2-2022
external contact 2   aug-4-2023
external contact 3 - - - - -

@alexpanjhc check if in your internal contact table, contact id has a null or blank value.

@Vishal_Gupta

thank you!

yes it does, but is this the reason i can't suppress null values?

If your issue is with the null in the pivoted (Internal) dimension, you can enable or disable nulls specifically for that field:

@alexpanjhc according to your given sample dataset above it seems you have an additional null column which you are trying to remove from output. If you simply remove values from back end (data load editor), front end won't show this null column.

@Vishal_Gupta  i can't remove them as they are connected with the meeting table. some external contact never met any  internal contact and i need to show that.

hope that makes sense

I suggest to consider to do the essential work within the data-model - maybe by merging the tables together (vertically and/or horizontally) and/or by populating the missing data. Of course it will need some efforts ...

Beside this your shown table isn't really wrong - it displayed the data as they are. In regard to get the wanted information it's sufficient.

@marcus_sommer

thank you for your response, but do you think there is way to suppress the internal contact but still show null for the entire row for external contact?
