Hello all,
I have a requirement where in I need to link two dashboards. As in, When I make a selection on the dashboard, it should reflect on the other dashboard as well.
I understand we can use Document Chaining to implement this requirement partially - By having a button with an external action to launch a URL of the dashboard by passing dynamic parameter for one particular list box.
Syntax: ='URL&select=LBXX', &MAX(Fieldname)
However, How can I achieve this for dynamic selection for multiple list boxes?
Any inputs would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Sindhu.
Hi,
Instead of using open URL, you can use Open QlikView document action.
and can transfer state and selection.
Have a look at attached image.

Thanks Ashfaq.
But , I cannot use the action 'Open qlikView document 'since I am deploying my document on the server.
Hence I am using the action open url.
Hi,
Yes you can use the same even if it is deployed on the server.

Grt. This is working. Thx a lot.
Hello Ashfaq,
In this case, the selections I make in my current dashboard are not reflecting on the opened dashboard.
Is there anything I am missing out on?
Thanks.
Hi,
You have to make sure that Data model and field names are similar.
And if you look at the attached image earlier.
Make sure that you have selected
Transfer State and
Apply state on top of current is selected.
