QMC Shoot mail

I want to Shoot mail through QMC when my extractor Successful and  FAIL.

what is the procedure??

You can try ALERT on reload wirth proper SMTP settings in the server.

Try like:

If you have Qlikview Server then you will find the settings for setting mails at

     QEMC -> Settings -> Setup -> Mail Server

     Here you have to define the Host Name as smtp.gmail.com (incase you are using gmail account.)

     Then you need to specify the mail address at From Address.

     Then you Need to use the authentication as per your requirements.

     Click Apply.

     If you dont have server then you will find the mail configuration in Qlikview.

     Open Qlikview Document

     Settings-> User Preference -> Mail

     Here in sender tab type your name and email address.

     At Server -> Address type Smtp.gmail.com

     Configure the authentication method and click on test to test the configuration.

     (Here test will send the mail on specified mail address)

Abhhay,

You can send alert emails on failure, if I remember correctly you can enter the email addresses here:

QMC-->System-->Distribution Service-->Alert Email

(assuming email server is already set up under QMC-->System)

i have done it in QMC, i have one query.i.e. It will Alert me in Both Condition like Failed and Successful??

and how can i be sure about for which extractor i am getting Alert?

can't i do it for particular Extractor running through QMC??

I have also tried to set up the mail server as you indicated, but the test emails are unsuccessful.  I have also made sure to test with different email services, in addition to Gmail.  Gmail requires application specific passwords, and I thought that could be a problem.  It does not appear to be.

Any advice for troubleshooting?

i has been successfuly done.. you have to configure mail settings in QMC and you have to mention mail ID's to whom you want to send mails in qmc only.. please make sure your Mail Configuration settings would properly configured..

Abhay,

     Configuring the settings in QMC is the issue.  QMC--> System -> Setup --> Mail Server.  No matter what I try, the QMC fails when sending test emails.  I have successfully setup SMTP on the same server for other email clients and they have been successful.  However, I receive a timeout error every time I try to send a test email, no matter what settings I use.
