Qlikview still personal edition

Hi all,

we're a paying customer of Qlikview.

How do I get the desktop application reflect this, so that I can open docs created by others etc...

Hi,

I am guessing that maybe you have not inserted the license into the program on the machine that you are using. To check this, go to Settings->User Preferences->License and check if the license serial key has been entered

Do you have a QlikView Server? If so, then you can lease a licence from the server if you have full licences available.

This is usually handled by whoever administers you QlikView server.

If you do not have a server, the you will have purchased separate licence codes for each user. This will have been emailed to you by Qlik. The licence is in two parts, a licence Key and a Control number.

Who in your company liaises with the Qlik Sales team or your Qlik partner, they should have your licences.

Qlikview is as new to me as it is the company, still learning . Pure Microsoft BI/ETL background.

Hi, qlikdave.

I'm considering that the your Qlikview Server is installed.

Therefore, you need only allocate the license on the server. Make follow steps below:

1. Open version Personal Edition;
2. Menu->File->Open in Server...;
3. In the text editor, Server area, input your account. Ex.: qvp://<domain>\<user name domain>@<server name>;
4. Click on Connect;
5. Password and click button OK.

The confirmation can be seen in Menu Help -> Show Start Page. How the image attached.
