Data is stored in either QVW files or QVD files.  These are a proprietary file format.

Usually we store the data in QVD files. (Internally in excel sheet format.)

Yes Data is stored in qvd or qvw format in the form of excel like tables..

Qlikview is In-Memory tool and data is loaded into the RAM when you access the QV application and if you save and raw data into qlikview understandable format then you have to save the table structure into the QVD.
