Qlik NPrinting stores reports during creation in the AppData\Local\Temp location.

Example: C:\Users\YourServieAccount\AppData\Local\Temp

This file location cannot be changed.

Hi @Sonja_Bauernfeind ,

can't my Customer change the NPrinting temp directory any longer by using the  systempropertiesadvanced.exe tool, as mentioned in https://community.qlik.com/t5/Qlik-NPrinting/NPrinting-Temp-Files-location/m-p/1205664#M12851 ? They're at May 2023 SR1 (23.20.3).
Also, they'd like to clean up their current temp dir as it's inflating. Do we have an auto tool, or should I recommend removing the oldest files manually?
Thanks,
Al

Hello @al

The temporary directory cannot be changed. The product does not support changes to it. From what I understand, the folder should be cleared out automatically, if files are not cleared out, I would recommend manually deleting them and monitoring. It may be that there are account permissions lacking which prevent the files from being automatically deleted.

All the best,
Sonja

Okay, @Sonja_Bauernfeind, and what is the mechanism by which the temp folder is cleared out automatically? Is it configurable? My customer is observing a linear increase of the temp size on disk (up to 30 GB since the server has been upgrade, October 2023). They have a "large" use of NPrinting i.e. reports are quite big, but they were big also prior to upgrading, and getting up to 30 GB on disk is not deemed normal. I will ask them to check user permissions for auto deletion.

Thanks a lot.
