The Qlik Sense Management Console (QMC) and hub don't open after an upgrade.
Environment
Resolution
- Open a Windows File Explorer
- Navigate to C:\ProgramData\Qlik\Sense\Log\Repository\Trace\
- Open *_System_Repository.txt
- Review the log file for this error:
Fatal exception RootFolder and AppFolder is not defined at startup. Unable to create ServiceCluster for SharedPersistence
- If you located this error, stop the Qlik Sense Services
- Navigate to C:\ProgramData\Qlik\Sense\Installation
- Rename the file InitialServiceCluster.xml to InitialServiceCluster.xml.old
- Start the Qlik Sense Services
Cause
InitialServiceCluster.xml in C:\ProgramData\Qlik\Sense\Installation was incomplete.
