The deletion process is file-based just like the copy process is. In other words, the deletion process works by creating an export of data that will generate a series of files; the deletion program will read these files and the relevant data will be purged from the database.
Important:
Due to programmatic safeguards it is not possible to delete data from Production systems
It is easy to include master data in the deletion process, which for most teams is not the desired outcome, and so use some caution when deleting data
