How to get a network trace from Fiddler to troubleshoot Qlik Products

This article explains how to trace and save network logs using Fiddler Classic.

Steps

  1.  Download Fiddler Classic from https://www.telerik.com/download/fiddler
  2. Run the setup.exe and install Fiddler Classic with the default settings.
  3. Search Fiddler Classic in the Windows start menu, and open it.
  4. Go to Tools > Options > HTTPS and check these two:
    1. Decrypt HTTP traffic
    2. Ignore server certificate errors

  5. Acknowledge the warnings and click "Yes" to install the Fiddler certificate.
  6. Click X to clear all sessions.

  7. Reproduce the issue.
  8. Click File > Save > All sessions and save the resulting log.
