Yes, the various core parts of the Gold Client config - such as the Client Construct framework, the Data Echo framework, and the Data Transformation - are all client-dependent. Outside of the config core there are only a couple of client-independent tables at this time. The Qlik team strives to have most config-related tables defined as client-dependent.
Legacy customers of Gold Client may have had a number of client-independent tables in previous versions, but over the years these have been subsequently converted to be client-dependent.
