This has solved many issues in Qlik NPrinting to generate report and previews, connect to Qlik Sense apps, image and objects issues and on-demand issues
Environment:
- Qlik NPrinting all versions
Symptoms:
After clicking on "Edit Template"
- "The remote server returned an error: (503) Server Unavailable" error is displayed by NPrinting Designer.
- "The remote server returned an error: (407) Proxy authentication Required"
Resolution
- A possible solution which has shown success in the past is to ensure no proxy settings are being used. Proxies may require authentication or otherwise filter data. You may need to speak to your local network administrator to assist in finding a solution.
Example:
- Navigate to the Windows Control Panel
- Click on "Internet Options"
- Select the Connections tab
- Click on the button "LAN settings"
- Clear all items
- Use this as a possible option. Open advanced proxy server settings and enter the path to the NPrinting server in the 'Do not use proxy server for address beginning with' field as shown below
