Qlik Replicate DB2 iSeries Source: Task takes a long time to start

A Qlik Replicate task using a DB2 iSeries Source endpoint takes a long to start or appears stuck/stalling.

Resolution

To resolve this:

1. Stop the task.
2. Go to the  Replicate Source DB2 iSeries endpoint Definition.
3. Click on the Advanced Tab.
4. Page down to the bottom and check a box called "Skip Journal Validation".  
5. Check the box and save the changed endpoint. 
6. Restart your task

Qlik Replicate ( all supported versions) 
IBM DB2 iSeries ( all supported versions)
