Qlik Replicate: Failure in executing add article through batch

Qlik Replicate tasks with an SQL Server Source fail with the error:

[SOURCE_CAPTURE ]E: Failure in executing add article through batch [1022502] 

Tables under heavy load may take SQL Server a long time to add articles to the publication. Qlik Replicate displays this error when it cannot verify that all the tables have been added in time. Articles can be manually added to the publication.

Qlik Replicate versions below May 2025 SP01 are affected by a defect that causes this error to continue even after the articles have been successfully added.

Resolution

• Add the articles manually
• If not yet done, upgrade to May 2025 SP01 or later to prevent the error from continuing

Cause

Heavy workloads will delay an SQL Server from adding the articles. Qlik Replicate may continue displaying the same error if the version is below May 2025 SP01.
