When using a line chart, depending on used Qlik Sense versions, you may encounter different behaviors when dealing with discrete dimensions and/or continuous dimensions.

In the Line Chart’s properties, Appearance section, X-axis level, you can set the continuous to either "AUTO" mode  or "Custom" mode.
Note that, before and with Qlik Sense November 2019, AUTO-mode referred to discrete dimension (set as default).
But from Qlik Sense February 2020 and above, AUTO mode will be referring to a continuous dimension (ex a time dimension).

Environment

  • Qlik Sense November 2019 and earlier
  •  Qlik Sense February 2020 and above

Resolution

See also QB-2531.

To force the same chart appearance as it was in old versions (Qlik Sense version prior to February 2020), you need to turn off the “AUTO” and use CUSTOM mode instead.  Then uncheck or check “Use continuous scale” according to your data  (see attached screenshot).
