Qlik Talend Studio unable to retrieve the license from Talend Administration Center

Talend studio can't connect TAC at loading license page and Pop-Up window displays

"Studio can't access the resource from server, please check the resource url". If loading a local license, then studio can connect TAC successfully at the connection setting page .

 

Cause

Cause 1

Defect TUP-40730(Internal) was identified and addressed in November 2023 release of Studio

Cause 2

Potentially, there may be a network connection issue between studio and TAC due to firewall, proxy, VPN

 

Resolution

  • Please patch to November 2023 or later release of studio.
  • If need be, workaround the license issue, please manually copy and transfer the license from TAC.

 

Troubleshooting Suggestions

  • Tail the <TAC Tomcat HOME>/log/localhost_access_log to look for "GET /org.talend.administrator/remoteService/license/project?version". If this is not displayed, then the request never reached the TAC server.  
  • It is recommended that the <Studio Workspace>/.metadata/.log file should be reviewed as well as Network settings
