When exporting data into excel number format for dimension coming up with decimal place

When we export data to Excel from a straight table, numeric fields have a 14 decimal format as opposed to the 0 decimal format in the original table. 

Environment

• Qlik Sense Enterprise on Windows 
• Qlik Cloud 
• Qlik Sense Business 

Resolution

This is working as designed. 

A workaround is to set the number format in the script: '### ### ### ###', '.', ' '

Example:

LOAD
RowNum,
num(GVM, '### ### ### ###', '.', ' ') as GVM
FROM [lib://xyz/Excel/MC_GVM (1).qvd]
(qvd);
