The wrong user is authenticated when logging into the QlikView AccessPoint.
Environment:
QlikView
Setup Example:
QlikView Server using Windows NTFS for Security
QlikView (or Microsoft IIS) WebServer with NTLM Security and default Browser Authentication as seen below.
Upon opening the AccessPoint, the End User is logged on with a different UserID than the one expected, and are able to open this user's .qvw documents.
Authentication is likely being passed through correctly, meaning that the unexpected credentials have at some point been cached in the browser.
An initial test in Internet Explorer can be made by changing the logon method to ensure the user is always being prompted.
To do so, access:
Internet Options > Security > (Zone the AccessPoint is in) > Custom Level and modify the User Authentication settings.
A similar test can be made globally by changing the WebServers from Default login page (browser authentication) to Alternate login page (web form) and Authentication to Login. As this is a global setting, all users will be affected.
Resolution:
Clearing out Internet Explorer Browser History (Cookies, Saved Passwords) should help ensure that the correct user is once again logged on.
