Implementing Section Access by Country in Qlik Sense Using Active Directory (AD) Groups

Hello Qlik Community,

I'm currently facing a challenge in my Qlik Sense project where I need to implement section access at the country level for users. Specifically, I have a dataset consisting of data from 60 different countries, and I need to provide section access to users based on their country access requirements.

For example:

  • User 1 needs access to countries 1, 4, and 5.
  • User 2 requires access to countries 45, 56, 34, and 29.
  • User 3 might need access to countries 6 and 9.

I'm exploring the possibility of using Active Directory (AD) groups to accomplish this task. My question is: Is it possible to use AD groups to manage section access at such a granular level, where each user may have access to a unique combination of countries?

If so, I would appreciate any guidance on how to set up and configure AD groups effectively for this purpose. Additionally, if there are any limitations or considerations I should be aware of when using AD groups for section access in Qlik Sense, I would be grateful for your insights.

Thank you for your assistance!
