Is there a block in automation which looks at a part of a reload log?

Hi there, 

I've just started using Automations in Qlik Cloud and I'd like to put in a condition block which either:

1. looks at a date in a dataset and if the date is yesterday it will move on to the next block
or
2. looks at the volume count of a reload log and if it is >0 it will move on to the next block

I think either of the above will give the solution I need but I don't know if it is possible.

I've tried looking at the Tutorials and community forums but can't find anything specific enough.
