hi all,

As update for the question, though we had SQL Server 2014, it was running on windows 2012 and hence count not connect.

We could not update the existing TLS or security setup. As an alternate, we setup a data gateway in another server and using that we connected to the SQL Server.

Thanks for the support

Hello all,

Kindly ensure you are not using SQL server 2012 neither Windows Server 2012R2 and also ensure TLS 1.2 is enabled.

Cheers,

Albert

We are using SQL Server 2014. Still could not connect to.

Also, how can we check that SQL Server connection is using TLS 1.1 or 1.2

Thanks

Hello @TLX-QlikView,

You can also disable the week chipers:

Disabling Weak Cipher suites for TLS 1.2 on a Wind... - Qlik Community - 1716891

You can disable it using this tool for example:

https://www.nartac.com/Products/IISCrypto

Cheers,

Albert
