Unable to set DB2 as a source in a Compose project
Hi everyone,
I'm currently trying to do the following :
DB2 database > Qlik Replicate > Redshift Landing > Qlik Compose > DataWarehouse and DataMart in Redshift.
I'm using Qlik Replicate/Compose 6.6, and my DB2 instance is in 11.1.
The first part, with Replicate, is working well. The CDC task is running and I have real time data in my Redshift Landing.
My issue is on Compose side.
When I try to add the DB2 source to be able to discover the schema from the source, I always receive the error below:
"SYS,GENERAL_EXCEPTION,ERROR [08001] [IBM][CLI Driver] SQL1013N The database alias name or database name " " could not be found. SQLSTATE=42705<p>" (see screenshot)
I do specify a database name in the "database name" field, and I'm able to retrieve and select the schema, so I really don't understand this error...
On my Compose server (windows), I've tried a lot of things like cataloging the DB2 database, adding the connection to the ODBC data sources, but it changed nothing.
If anyone can help I would be grateful.
Thanks
Best regards,
Thiebaud

Hi @ThiebaudS ,
The version seems fine. Did you open a support ticket? It sounds like some environment issue that our support could help with.

Tzachi

Hi Thiebaud,
What DB2 database are you trying to connect to? That is, which DB2 family member (DB2 for z/os, DB2 for iSeries, DB2 for LUW) and which version.
Thanks,
Tzachi

Thanks for trying to help.
It's a DB2 for LUW running on Linux. Here are the detailed information:
DB21085I This instance or install (instance name, where applicable:
"db2inst1") uses "64" bits and DB2 code release "SQL11014" with level
identifier "0205010F".
Informational tokens are "DB2 v11.1.4.4", "s1811091400", "DYN1811091400AMD64",
and Fix Pack "4".
Product is installed at "/opt/ibm/db2/V11.1".
Best regards,
Thiebaud

Hi,
I didn't opened a support ticket as I don't have any Attunity support account.
I'm just a partner testing the product in order to present it to our customers.
Best regards,
Thiebaud
