FD column value

We have the reserved column named FD in Compose for DW ETL mapping. Based on documentation this column is added to tables that contain attributes (columns) with a History Type 2. The default date value in the configuration is 1900-01-01. Is it OK to change this default value to the date the record was first inserted?

Thanks,

Al

This is not recommended. Compose categorically ensures that each member in an entity has a timeline from the beginning to the end of time.
If you need to track the time the record was introduced, its better to do it with a custom attribute added and either updated with a post-load script, or set via the mapping.
