Using CLOB/Varchar(MAX) in Compose (JSON)

Hello guys

Noob question here,

We currently have to Replicate a CLOB/VARCHAR(MAX) columns stored as JSON strings and wanted to Parse it within Qlik Compose into new columns. We are Replicating to azure sql server from another sql on prem.

Are there any workarounds to this since Compose do not work with clob/varchar(max) columns in practice? Would the solution trying to parse it inside in Qlik Cloud instead?

Any thoughts/insights would be appreciated

Kind Regards!

Hi @guilherme-matte

I hope you're well. Regarding your inquiry, there isn't a recognized workaround from a support standpoint, and it falls outside the scope of support.

However, if you're considering modifications to the JSON source file of Compose, I would suggest engaging with our professional services team. They might offer a solution or provide an alternative approach along with valuable insights.

Best,
Adam
