Compose workflow history tab switching

Hi,

In Compose, when navigating to the monitoring window and selecting a Data Warehouse task the Progress Status pane starts switching between a failed and a completed/running status over and over again. Refreshing the page seems to fix this, but is there a way to avoid this behavior?

Thanks.

Hi @Al_gar

I think this was fixed in the new patch version of May2022 because I don't see it happening there. As a workaround, please remove all the log files from the task directory which begin with 1000*.

Thank you,

We do have Compose version: May 2022 (2022.5.0.140). But will try your workaround. Thanks.

Shashi, can you confirm if there was a later software patch to address this issue? I'm afraid this workaround won't be viable when we go to production (either removing or renaming the logs).

May 2022 (2022.5.0.140) is the initial Release version. Could you please try with the following patch version. It's SP07:

The issue you are experiencing with the Progress Status pane in Compose may be caused by a temporary glitch in the monitoring system. While refreshing the page may resolve the issue temporarily, there are a few other steps you can try to prevent this behavior from occurring in the future:

  1. Check the logs: Review the logs for the Data Warehouse task that is causing the issue. The logs may provide additional information on what is causing the status to switch between failed and completed/running. This may help you identify any issues that need to be resolved.

  2. Verify the task: Verify that the Data Warehouse task is functioning as expected. Check that it is completing successfully and that there are no errors or issues that need to be addressed. This may require reviewing the task configuration and ensuring that all parameters and settings are correct.

  3. Contact support: If the issue persists, you may need to contact support for further assistance. They can help you diagnose the issue and provide guidance on how to resolve it.

  4. Check for updates: Ensure that your Compose environment is up to date with the latest software updates and patches. This may resolve any known issues or bugs that could be causing the behavior you are experiencing.

By following these steps, you may be able to prevent the Progress Status pane from switching between failed and completed/running statuses in the future.
