Gold Client 8.7.2 Patch 1 Now Available

Gold Client 8.7.2 Patch 1 is now available to customers. Below are a few key features:

Improved Export Handling

Resolved deadlock export error. The core Gold Client table for the export process is /HTG/GCSEXPFILES. There is a change in how the filename is created to ensure uniqueness and avoid deadlock issues when accessing it.

 Updated Transformation Random Date Configuration

Transformation Type Random Date now accepts a value of zero for the configured Year Differential. This allows the year to remain the same and only the month and day in the date field are assigned random values.

Resolved Chunk Import Issue

For large volumes of data, an error could occur when importing certain chunks of data. The correction improves how the data is exported to eliminate invalid data chunks. This stops the error from occurring during the import process.

Key Split Improvements

When using the Key Split functionality on S4/HANA systems, export performance especially for large tables has been improved. The Key Split Configuration utility is found under ZGOLD – Configuration – Additional Tools.

Structure Differences Enhanced

Utility Structure Differences (found under ZGOLD – Configuration – Data Copy Toolbox) has been modified to handle circumstances when there is a different order of table fields between source and target system.

Data Snap Improvement

Data Snap is enhanced to allow more records to be accepted in multiple selection field when using a list of values.
