To begin, our product name has been overhauled from Attunity Gold Client to Qlik Gold Client! It is the same great product but now part of the Qlik family.
Qlik Gold Client version 8.6.1 was released on January 21, 2020. It is considered a minor release. Highlights include:
A new Gold Client configuration upload and download utility uses a JSON file format for easier maintenance. It makes getting the latest Gold Client configuration updates much simpler. Look for it under Configuration in the Framework folder.
Introducing the Import Progress Report! Found on the Import Control screen, it will show the status of any Data Echo import. You can find it under the Report button with our other reports—Data Detail, Sizing, and Conflicting Data.
When using the Client Importer, the Direct Input processing option now has an option to remove all data from the table prior to data import. The means a clean import of table data. Want to retain the data that is already in the system? Simply skip the removal step and process as you have in the past.
Already running or soon-to-be migrating to SAP S/4HANA? New utilities are here to help incorporate S/4HANA changes into your Gold Client configuration all while optimizing performance. They are available under Configuration in a new folder called S4 Utilities.
