Is there a trick to identifying unnamed objects when adding them to a template in Designer? Almost all of my Qlik Sense KPI's are unnamed because I prefer how they look with just the primary, centered title. But then in Designer, when I want to add them, they have a blank Name.
I guess I have to add a title in Sense (under Appearance > General), and then I can hide them again. The title is there but not making my Sense app ugly.
If I understand you correctly, all you need to do is click on the object in the design panel on the upper left and it will be highlighted automatically for you in on the report template on the right.
I used this method when tracking down report objects when several different ones are used in a report template. (In this example, my charts have titles/names but this doesn't affect the auto highlighting that I just described.)
This also applies to Pages, Levels, Tables (as you see here) etc.
Hi @Lauri ,
Here is something I use all the time:
In the Qlik Sense hub, if you open a sheet and append /options/developer to the end of the URL, you should get a Developer option when you right-click on the KPI (or any other) object.
....which, when clicked, should give you the ObjectID among other things
